Is it a good offer for DVD recorder at Argos?

Acoustic Solutions DVDRW300 DVD Recorder REDUCED FROM 99.99 to 58.55 pounds.

I was initially impressed with this too.

However, when I looked in the latest catalogue, it was listed as £64.99 so I don't know why they're saying it's reduced from £99.99

Can't seem to find any reviews on it. I think the brand is exclusive to Argos. Looking around though, it seems that a lot of DVD recorders under £100 don't get very good reviews...

Search on Richer Sounds, as Accoustic Solutions are not an Argos only brand, they're normally very good. Can't comment on this particular item, right enough

Actually, have just looked on Richer sounds webpage & there seems to be a lot of good deals for DVD recorders.
Think I'll probably get one from there rather than Argos...

We brought one from Argos at the of May, I was concerned about it lasting too long, so went back for the extra insurance at £11.

Taking it back tomorrow as it won't even turn on now, but reserved another one as it's SO cheap at £58 + £11 for at least 3 years.

ACCOUSTIC SOLUTIONS is the worst brand ive ever come accross.

We got a TV from Argos last month - within 2 days it had to go back - got another - had to go back - then finally got a different make that works. Staff in ARGOS actually said "ACCOUSTIC SOLUTIONS IS CRAP"

I wouldn't buy anything from that make to be honest. I have looked at several chat forums about this make and really not much good can be said
