unable to attend work programme appointment...

hi, qiuck question. i've been really ill over the weekend with a sickness and diarrhea bug. i haven't eaten since friday and have little to no strength (i'm even posting this from my bed:(). problem is i have an appointment with my job advisor on the work programme later this afternoon. so anyway i rang my advisor and we rearranged the appointment for next week. however i'm wondering if this will be classed as a failure to attend and as such will affect my jsa claim? any information will be appreciated.

You've done exactly the right thing - phoned as soon as you could after knowing you wouldn't be able to attend and rearranged.

You shouldn't have any problems at all.

It should be fine as you have notified your advisor and rearranged an appointment. BUT if you have a history of cancelling appointments etc and there is a pattern of this then they will let the JCP know as it could be seen as failure to participate in the WP.
