Finally getting my head out of the sand

This is the first time I've posted on the boards, but I thought it may give me the incentive I need to get my debts sorted out.

My debts have spiralled over the last 18 months after a 3 month period out of work I found I was unable to reduce my utility arrears and missed payments on my credit accounts. As if this wasnt bad enough I've had to change my car 3 times in the past 12 months as repair bills were to high, the ensuing charges for change of policies has practically crippled me. All this on top of struggling to pay my rent. :(

So 8 months ago I took the step of moving into a caravan, this has significantly reduced my outgoings. But I stuck my head in the sand with regards to the debts I have built up. So March of this year I finally begun getting my debts in order. I have a payment plan in place with each of my creditors, standing orders and direct debits set up where possible so that I do not miss payment dates.

I have recently got a wage increase at work so this will go towards paying my debts. As all interest has been frozen on my accounts I am putting this increase towards paying of my smallest debts first.

My debt free date is April 2014
Make £5 a day: Jan £6.20/ £155
£2 Club = £8.00;50p Club = £10.00;20p Club = £9.80
Take Lunch To Work: Jan 6/20 GSC = £51.16/£240; VSP=£1.78
THE ONLY THING WORSE THAN GETTING UP FOR WORK IS NOT HAVING ANY WORK TO GET UP FOR.
