    Update: recently (about 2 weeks ago, sorry I didn't think to post before) I saw an Oyster display at Finchley Rd tube - I think they were trying to sign up new users. I went to ask them about the 'maximum charge' payable when their machines don't work :p, and how this applies to monthly travelcards (answer - it doesn't).

    Noticed they were giving away Oystercard holders, and asked for one, which was happily given. However, when I mentioned how upset I had been to miss the lovely ltd edn ones, they unearthed a secret stash, and asked me which I would like!! :D

    So it's worth approaching Oystercard displays, if you come across one......;)
