Notice of Correction

Hi.

Does anyone have or know of a standard text to use when placing a Notice of Correction on my credit file please? Specifically, I want to address/correct a default notice.

I'd welcome any thoughts or ideas as to the language a Notice of Correction should use.

Thanks

I'm also interested in this, after 6 years of angelic behaviour, and paying back £30k, I was sick to the stomach to find something registered against me by three when we were in dispute as their equipment didn't work two years ago.

I, *your name* would like to inform all lenders that.. *then give the reason for the default notice.

It just needs to be academic writing style... hope that helps :)

    Thanks RoxRoxBling,

I'm very concerned about this and really want to get the wording right. I'll try National Debtline for some advice on this but if anyone else has ideas around a good form of wording or giving reasons etc I'd be most grateful.

    Thnaks again.
  • Experian give a couple of example texts which I used for my NOC a few years ago, such as:

    Example 1
I, Mr/Ms XXXXXX, would like to explain the circumstances that led to the default recorded against the account started on DD/MM/YY. I became unemployed and my income was reduced to XXXX. I unfortunately was unable to keep the original payment contract. I ask all lenders searching my credit report to take this into account.

Change the bits that you need to change obviously :)
