credit score!!!

I would be grateful for any help, I have been a member of equifax and experian for a few years and become dedicated to becoming 999 credit score and getting rid of all bad credit almost obsessive :). Its been a gradual process and often tiresom but things did start moving in the right direction i was able to change my morgage from sub prime to prime a year ago which after 20 years of mortgages was amazing my score has jumped from fair to good and back again and is just so frustrating. I have just had the removal of a final default on my account :T and have wished this day to come for 6 years and guess what!!!! my score went down!!!!! how could this be i havnt had any searches, missed any payments. I did move in september last year but have scored since then and it has still been higher than this score. HOW CAN I BE MORE OF A RISK  would be grateful for you comments and thanks for the rant.

You would be better off posting your question into the financial area of these forums. This is the shopping area. Will PM a board guide and ask them to move it for you.

No board guides logged on at mo. PM sent to Redfox.

Credit scores are not used by lenders - they seem to just be a way for equifax etc to make money from you. Each lender does their own, so I'd not worry too much. Clearing debts etc will improve the way lenders view you. Can't really comment further on the credit scoring process but am sure someone else will.

my suggestion is that you stop paying for experian and equifax and use a company called noddle which offer the service for free>
