unpaid wages

Hi everyone. I am a heavy goods driver. i worked eight days with a well known driving agency. On the tuesday morning i got a solid offer of employment (cards in). i rang the agency straight away telling them that i could not complete that nights shift nor could i work for them anymore. subsequently, they have underpaid me by ten hours work that i completed for them. IS THIS LEGAL?

Why could you not finish your shift that night, surely your new job didnt start in the next hour.

From when you got this offer, when was the new job to start.

You need to read the terms and conditions
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

  • Amazing how they can cancel a driver at the last minute and not pay them but when it is the other way round they don't like it. Of course they can't with hold wages if you have done the work. A letter telling them you will go through the small claims court should be enough to have you paid but you will need proof in the time sheet I think to do this.
