Some customers wrap these coupons around their Nectar card so when they pull it out from their purse, the coupons come out.0 -
If you have the iphone App for Nectar, threre are often Sainsburys vouchers pre-loaded on the App. For example on mine I get about 9 offers - mostly things like 'Buy Sainsburys kitchen cleaner and get 30 bonus nectar points'. However sometimes there are general ones like 'Spend £30 and get 300 bonus nectar points'. The great thing about it is you only need to press 'claim offer' on your iphone and it automatically applies instore - you don't have to print off any vouchers to be scanned at the till - the offer will automatically be credited if you have spend the correct amount. Hope this makes sense!!0

Oh dear, am I alone in thinking Nectar points are pretty worthless? I've spent a lot of money at Sainsbury's over the past few years and just let them accumulate. I thought to check the Nectar points total recently and it was unimpressive. I'm sure I've done better with Tesco (where I spend less because I dislike the store).0

If you have a coupon which says - gain 100 Nectar points if you buy a certain Sainsburys product - which is a fresh item or in the produce (fruit n veg section) and its in the reduced - it will still work! Earlier this year, I had a coupon for 150 extra points if I bought the individual TTD lasagne. It was in the reduced for 75p - so in theory, I got this for 'free' as 150 points is 75p!
Also, some of the money off vouchers off products, the products are usually on offer or will be later on - as sometimes you have 5 weeks to use them. For example in my cases - £1 off Bodyform sanitary towels - they are down to £1 and £1.50 off any Fairy detergent - at the time the small gel was £3.0 -
I use quite a lot of these. We have had anything from 800 points for spending £20 on clothing to £6 off when spending £60. With a family of 5 I shop weekly so use them and we always go to the same lovely cashier who always asks what coupons I have this week. If I have none she's shocked lolKyle 03.04.04

Sainsburys and Tesco both give you a basic 1% back.0 -

I complained this week because I didn't get any.
I tried alternating my shopping (after getting the basics at Aldi) between Asda and Sainsburys. My thinking being Sainsbury's might give me better value vouchers to tempt me back if I didn't shop there as regularly! Well it didn't work - I would be happy with extra points on a £20 spend, whereas my coupons have involved £50 and £60 spends! Err, no thanks Sainsburys I'll stick to Asda if that's the best you can offer!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Some of the coupons are good but some are just adverts, not really coupons at all and I find these annoying and a bit disappointing too!0

Thanks, that's useful to know. Subjectively it doesn't seem like that. I suppose what it tells me is that they are boith pretty silly reasons to shop in one store over another.
I think Tesco's rewards had a wider range of options with them and did give more back until they cut it back as part of their "Big Price Drop" con late last year. Nectar points are quite easy to accumulate if you know how to manipulate the system though. Get the app and use their website and you can get bonus points galore. Even using your own bags gets you points that will add up in Sainsbury's.0
