Hi, This is my first time on here so i hope I'm doing this right!
I was just reading the comments on bust measuring. I always go to Contessa. They are really friendly and accurate. I went to M&S once and they made me 2 sizes bigger than I actually was!!

I found M&S to be rubbish too. They measured me while I was wearing a padded bra, a T-shirt and a thick poloneck jumper. I asked if I could take a couple of layers off to make the sizing more accurate and the assistant recoiled in horror as though I was a pervert. My measurement came out as DD (I'm actually a . Oh well, they've lost my custom!

Ooo just downloaded it, very interesting. Want to go to a proper place to get fitted, but time doesn't really allow and I refuse M&S as I'd prefer somewhere specialised and more likely to be trained correctly.

I've found ample bosom to be great but they don't tend to do discount codes/vouchers/cashback etc.

As an asside I think most stores will try and make you a size that they stock to get the sale - it's more noticable with m&s cause they don't really do bigger sizes, but i've had the same experience in figleaves where they tell me i'm a size smaller and increase the back size to make me fit....only girl was honest enough to tell me they didn't stock my size.

i need to buy a couple of bras ... seems like ppl dont like the m&s fitting service ... how about debenhams ? r they any better ?
btw the book said if u r wearing a wrong bra u'll get fitted incorrectly ... so how does one solve that problem ... i hope fitting services dont require one to be braless !!!:rotfl:

was recently measured in victorias secret in Las Vegas (while on holiday) Anyway, the girl insisted that I was a 38D she admitted that the bra I was wearing at the time was "a good fit". It was a 36DD. anyway after trying on a 38D which was obviously too big, she then decided I must be a 38C. I left at that point.

Thing is I have had much the same experience in M&S, with one assistant trying to get me into a 40AA. I must have bounced around in the wrong size bra for years
