  • You could get in fish and chips and if you have access to a freezer individual 'nice' ice cream desserts. You could get a really nice cake too. So no rushing around cooking, no washing up afterwards and very little stress for you in the organising!!! It shouldn't be too expensive either.

I would go with the dominos too (cut into squares), along with crisps/nuts/dips then have a few cakes made for afters.

That way you can relax and enjoy the party rather than be worrying about the food :)

Thank you all so much for your fab ideas but it looks as though the Dominoes could be winning with the crisps/nuts/dips options.

I wonder how much it will cost me though?

Ask Dominoes what rate they would charge for a party, with plenty of notice and some of the offers they do, I'm sure others here could say if they did the same. :)

a large has ten slices and the basic cheese and tomato costs £13.49 so if each person has a couple of slices that's between 15 and 20 pizzas for 75 - 100 people

dont forget I've got that discount code if you want it! PM me

That would work out at £134.90 for 20 plain large pizzas with the 50% code

If you go in and chat to the manager he might do you a deal like not charging extra for toppings or something like that.

    Hi,

We held a "pre-lash" as they call it at home for my daughter's 21st a couple of months ago.My main concern was to get something filling inside them to soak up the punch and before they went clubbing. We opted for hot-dogs, eaten standing up with just napkins. I borrowed a bain -marie to keep them piping hot until eaten. They were a brilliant success, followed by cup-cakes.For her 18th we hired a burger van to park on the driveway, having done an all -in deal with the owner beforehand. The offerings at the 18th were more substantial than the 21st because the party was just here, i.e. they weren't going on to a club. For her 21st she wanted to ensure that her guests didn't decide to linger here instead of getting on the mini buses to town.Good luck !

If you've got any independent pizza shops nearby it would be worth asking them for quotes, my local ones are a lot cheaper than the chains and generally better quality.
Vanoonoo is quoting a large Domino pizza at £13.49, one of the local shops is £5 for 12 inch delivered, the other is £3 for the same size collected (both cheese on tomato with two toppings). I'd assume at least 3 slices per person, but check with your daughter how far pizzas go when they get together.

Good idea to ask the local chippy/pizza etc takeaways how much they would charge per head and let them know you are asking a few different places ;)

Bet you get a decent quote - failing that, Vanoonoo is kind to offer you the 50% off Dominos so that helps a lot :)

Honestly, I wouldn't bother with all the fancy buffet food, it wont be appreciated! If you don't want to go the Dominoes route why not just do some big bowls of crisps, nuts etc then cook up an absolute pile of sausages/veggie sausages and bacon and stuff them into baps? I went to a wedding where the evening 'buffet' was bacon and sausage rolls and I have never seen a heapof food so swiftly and enthusiastically demolished by moderately drunk folk, ever.
