Been had on my Olympics tickets

I just got my Olympics tickets in the post. They are for diving, and having paid £95 a ticket for price category B, I thought I would have a decent view to look forward to. How wrong I was. I am at the block at the furthest end of the building at the far end of the 50m pool, and then it's still across the diving pool to actually get to where the action is. Wow diving from 70m away...
Feel completely conned!
Anything I can do?

See if there's an option to resell your tickets on the tickets page back to LOGOC if you no longer want them.
Don't think there's much else you can do if you aren't happy with where you are.0 -
Unfortunately I think you are right. In retrospect I can hardly believe it is legal to sell something over the internet which is so poorly defined, with no right of redress for the customer, but normal rules don't apply for the olympics. More fool me for wanting to "be part of it"!0

You might find you actually get a decent view of it compared to those who paid less. Guess you can only find that out on the day. Also if the venue isn't full you might be able to sneak into another section?0

Well the money has gone now so might as well make the best of it. Bloody expensive mistake though.0

You could resell diving tickets with no problems at all, so..... i'd keep a look out for tickets for same session (od different), and now when you request tickets on the LOCOG site it tells you where the seat is. If it's better than yours buy it and then resell yours. THere were tickets for every diving session on sale a few days ago and there will be more flash sales in the next 3 weeks, just need to keep looking and subscribe to the various sources who let people know the moment tickets appear on the site.
One of our athletics finals tickets is for row 75 ...the very top row of the stadium! At least we won't have people kicking the back of the seat or worry about blocking views if we stand up!0 -
Don't they have big screens up in the venues anyway, so even if you haven't got a great view from your seat, you can see it all on the big screen, and still be in the thick of the Olympic atmosphere?0

Unfortunately the only thing they say is that you will have a better view than someone who paid less than you. I'm intrigued to know which session and which block you're in though, we have tickets to 6 different diving sessions all cat C and D. Not got any of them yet and most are from Europe so we'll pick them up in 3 weeks.0

@Lil me - The seats are in block 101, it is the front block, but just as far away as possible from the diving pool.
@balletshoes - Yes I imagine there will be big screens, but these are £100 tickets!/
I think I am going to try to resell two of the four...0 -
I got my £125 diving tickets yesterday and they are also in block 101 - feels more like Room 101. They couldn't be further away from the diving pool.
When I booked the 4 tickets it was hard enough to stomach having to pay so much but at least I thought they would be pretty good seats and was excited when they arrived yesterday. Well the excitement has all gone now - tack on our train fares to London and it's a very expensive day out to watch a diving semi final from probably over 70 metres away.
Makes Premier League football tickets feel like a bargain.0 -
