I wanna crescendo alarm clock

The alarm clock I have atm is so loud and sudden, it feels like it's trying to give me a heart attack. I have found crescendo alarm clocks on amazon but after reading the reviews, I cannot find one that recommends the crescendo feature.
I'm looking for a clock that is so quiet to begin with that is it very gentle, barely audible and then gradually wakes me up.
Or a very, very quiet alarm would be better than the one I have atm.

I find having the alarm set so the radio comes on, rather than the buzzer, much more relaxing to wake up to - you may want to consider this in the short-term while you find a crescendo alarm, alternatively an iPod dock that doubles as an alarm clock; could you wake up to some relaxing music on there.

Sounds like a great idea but I do not own an ipod and cannot afford one

Can you get a clock with a radio feature that the radio comes on at the time set? With the sound turned down low, it might be perfect for me.

Yes you can pick up radio alarm clocks almost anywhere. You select either buzzer or radio for the alarm. I do find having the radio come on (and stay on - which it does) keeps me awake too and stops me falling back to sleep (which I invariably do with a buzzer type alarm, even with the snooze feature).
