Nationwide Credit Card

I am trying to get my finances in order and have written to my creditors to accept reduced payments. Unfortunately as I have been burying my head in the sand for too long I have today received notice from Nationwide that they have proceeded with court action and my case for my outstanding CC debt is being dealt with on 20th August. Am I too late to make a full and final settlement or make a payment plan with them. Anyone know if they are willing to accept offers or will they want to go to court. Any help would be greatfully appreciated

So just a notice from Nationwide at this stage? No actual court papers?
It's never too late to negotiate. Depends really if it's in their interest to proceed with court action or do a deal.
Do you have a property? With equity?
I ask as Nationwide are quite quick to go for court action if you have, because they like to secure via a charging order if they can manage it. If that is their intent, they may be amenable to a payment plan later on, but possibly not yet.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
