Playstation 2 wanted.

Hi

I'm looking to get my little boy a ps2 and am looking to get the best deal. I know the ps3 is being released soon, so does anyone think the '2' will be reduced then?

I'm not too bothered about a package, as he is only 5 and the games I've seen in packages haven't been suitable.

The best I've found is from Comet -£90, are there any better deals out there??

i think thats been an gone, didnt stay very long on the shelves and probably ended up on ebay lol

i too am looking for a ps2 but im gonna hold out til the ps3 comes out to see if the price drops

Thanks for the replies - called a couple of Asda's and it seems they did have a few for that price a couple of weeks ago, but they are now £95 (or something around that price).

I've just peeped on froogle, but there's nothing as low as the Asda price.

I think I'll wait too, until the new on comes out and see if the price of the ps2 drops!!

I've looked on ebay, but have been told that 2nd hand ps2's 'can' be dodgy, as something in them can break if the machine is moved whilst it's switched on and can damage your discs, don't know how true this is, but a couple of people have told me.

Just wait and the price will drop as the ps2 will be dated. Dont believe everything you hear, i wouldnt have a problem buying a second hand ps2, they are quite robust, ours has been to spain, Northern Ireland, up and down to London. Most parts can be replaced, in fact we had a new laser put into one a couple of years ago. Ours is now quite old but going strong.....in fact I think I will have a game of FiFa 2007 with my 12 year old,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and beat the little git for once

Actually...here's a really long shot! Asda were selling them about 6 months ago at £50 brand new - ask instore if anywhere has them left.

Hi I just bought one for my ds from john lewis (silver slimline full price £95) added 3 lots of half price silver wrapping paper to make it up to £102 and used a voucher for £20 off on hotukdeals.com making it £75.
I am going to combine this with two games for £22 at argos total for PS2 & 2 games £97. ordered it yesterday and have just had email saying it will be delivered on monday
