Any link from Peta and I wont even bother to look. Extremist animal rights comes to mind.
They tar all circuses with the same brush, and you'll always see the do gooders (usually young women and men, uni aged, standing outside holding posters of abused lions, or tigers, or bears (oh my!)) that often have no relevance to the real circuses of the current time in the UK.
Almost akin to the constant facebook shares that you see all the time. Just because someone posted it, they're instantly believed to be current and correct, and thus get shared, and shared.0 -
If extremist or 'do gooder' are the sort of pejorative terms you use to describe anyone who doesn't approve of animal cruelty for the sake of entertainment then I'm happy to wear that label.
The pictures of lions and tigers are very relevant to this discussion as Duffy's circus has these in its show.
Oh and btw, I'm not a student and I don't use facebook. I'm not a sadist either.0
