No - I've never had any decent offers from on-line agencies. I've found all the jobs I've had by going out and applying for them rather than sitting and waiting for them to come to me.Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0

To be completely honest i doubt that Waterstones, and the other companies you mentioned for part time employment while studying, try and recruit weekend staff in this way as they are likely to have a pool of applicants who have knocked their doors."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." I can recall one phone call and the job was a complete waste of time. I really wouldn't want to rely on this method to get a job.
If you are asking for yourself, I recommend you take control of the situation and become pro-active rather than waiting for things to happen.Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0 -
I'm currently looking for something new, and just feel like I'm banging my head against a wall. I just don't know where to start really.Matched Betting and Casino Bagging Target: £3500 (Masters degree course fees)

What do you like doing? I'm not just asking about what you do for work but what gives you a feeling of a task well done in social setting too.
If you are planning on undertaking a Masters course, what's the subject? Is it work related?0 -
I currently work in data systems - databases, MIS, helpdesk, that kind of thing. I am good at it, and it pays, but I don't enjoy it.
I hope to move into journalism, hence the masters, which I will hopefully be starting in September at Newcastle Uni. I love writing, and have been doing freelance work for a music website for just over a year now. This is what I really want to do, and what makes me feel good.
In the meantime, I have been trying to find something productive and fulfilling which will replace the monotonous grind which I am currently employed in.
If anyone fancies taking a look at some of my writing, have a look at some of the following (Mods - am I allowed to post these? if not, please delete this last paragraph):

I got my job through Monster! I edited my CV every couple of days so that it appeared on the "new" list. I ended up with 7 agencies, and three private firms contacted me as well.
Hope that helps

September will be hear soon - yes, really.
I haven't looked at the webpages you quoted but it's good that you've got a foot in the door with the music website.
I wonder if a job in marketing would be something you would like to move into?0
