Extending a Lloyds TSB Loan

I currently have a Lloyds TSB loan which has about £4884 remaining on it. I have never missed a payment on anything with LTSB, but my OH who I have a mortgage with (BoS) and a LTSB joint account with has a LTSB CC and has missed payments with them. He has a bad credit rating.
I am planning on attempting to extend my loan to £10,000 (ouch that hurts seeing it in writing!) - if they will let me! Do you think my OH's bad credit will impact on my ability to get a loan with my bank who I have been with for donkey's years! I have my bank manager's mobile no, do you think it would be wiser to make an appointment direct with him or with anyone at the bank?

The bank may well help to extend your loan but you have to decide is it the best thing to do?
You will pay a lot more interest in the long run.
Have you firstly made a SOA showing all income and every penny of expenditure to see if you can save elswhere to throw at some of these debts.0
