Hi,
I'm just after some advice if there's anyone can help me?
My boyfriend and I got accepted for a mortgage, had an offer accepted on a house and are in the process of buying it. I just need to know if me changing jobs before it all goes through has any effect on the mortgage offer?
Thanks

It may do.
Will you be earning less?
Will you be on a probationary period?
Has your lender said they will contact your employer for a reference?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. The money will be the same, the lender hasn't said anything about contacting my employer, but there may be a probationary period. I'm seeing about the new job tomorrow so will find out then. Is that likely to be the only problem?0

I am in a similar position here... just to be sure, although I am still looking for another job, I will not leave my current one until the completion of the housebuying process. Then, the lender does not need to know that you have changed jobs.0

Up until completion of the mortgage you would need to advise the lender of any material changes in your circumstances i.e job changeI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
