CCA response advice please

Following a CCA request Natwest have returned my letter (pencil marked as unsigned, although stamp dated) & the £1 along with a multi choice letter which they have ticked:
"s78 request received, however, this has been returned to you as we require your signature before we can proceed. Please sign your request for information and return to the address on the right hand side of this letter"
Two queries please:
Do they legally need my signature, and should it be my actual signature rather than a digital one? (My concern is them lifting it)
Once I respond to this letter because they have received the original (although not processed the £1 payment), does the date continue or will the statutory time reset with the second letter?
Many thanks x

time runs from your original request. returning the fee deosn't get them out of it either.0 -
didn't you sign one when you applied?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
