Sorry, I am unable to word this better but you have a problem well both you and your Ex do.
Santander will not do this, this is an absolute so you may get a different answer elsewhere telling you to complain etc. but please trust me that they will not do this.
Given the fact you are on a DMP, depending upon the amount of unsecured debt it is incredibly unlikely that an alternative lender will take it on.

Ex can apply to court for forced sale of property.
Judge can award all costs of case against OP if there is no justified reason for blocking sale of property. In effect the case is a complete waste of the Court's time.
Costs can amount to several thousand pounds. So little point in wasting the money. Better to resolve the matter in an equitable manner. In fairness to both parties concerned.0 -
