To be fair what is happening is very unfair. Ok putting all your ,money in savings account isn't a sensible, but these people who did so expecting a steady 5% or more are now getting next to nothing. The only reason for this is the excessive lending of banks and similar leverage that many mortgage holders have placed themselves in.
It's all very well to be prudent and save, and of course diversification is fundamental, but as bob diamond proves your better off in the casino, or at least his version of it as he can't lose.0 -
at the moment pensions are not growing
Thanks to some of the recent volatility, mine are all growing very nicely.
Both low equity values and volatility are *good* things for those who are building their pensions, and they aren't terrible for those drawing on them either as long as they get the balance right.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
