as a regular wild-camper and backpacker, I am seriously impressed with this. To wild-camp when doing such a long stretch first time - kudos. Scotland is the only place really to do this in the UK - wild-camping much much easier up there because of your wonderful access laws.

Leenie, if you want to do another one I can really recommend the TGO Challenge - self-supported crossing, coast to coast, 2 weeks in May each year, choice of starting and finishing points, plan your route, high or low, amazing people.
    cals c;)lled it Co
Hat off to you :) Don't suppose it was only your make-up and Per Una that you missed .....

I walked it with 4 others, my daughter Toni, her Oh, my Oh and my son.
First time for all of us.
We were very well organized I must say. For 4 or 5 sundays before I walked around the Norfolk counrty side, about 9 miles each time.
I think the hardest day was the first, we left Norfolk at 11 pm by car arrived at the start of the walk- Milngavie the following morning at about 8 am. We had had no sleep. We walked straight away, Conic Hill was a challenge -the locals called it Cronic Hill, I know why now- 24 miles on day one and then about 15 each on the next 5.
Thanks for the infor on the TGO I will take a look at it.
Just to say I had just turned 50 when I walked it well chuffed :)
Maybe the GGW next year :D
    Thanks again for the post.
