My nearest Extra has just had the 2 broken downstairs scanners fixed, saves me going up and down the travelator several times :)

Reminds me of an amusing incident i had a while back

I had a few things i wanted to price check in a store once but the scanner was pretty far away and some of the items were heavy. I tried raking a photo on my phone to see if that would scsn. It didnt

The funny part is after i held up the phone and waved it in front of the scanner in vain i then scanned a couple of known 1p items that were in my basket. There was a customer watching over my shoulder and i think she thiught i had hacked into the system and reprogrammed the batcodes at 1p. After i walked away shefrantically scanned everything in her basket in an atempt to reprogram her items too! :rotfl:

When I found the 4p socks the nearest scanner was broken so I had to go over to the one in the baby aisle, when I saw they were 4p I would have beaten Usain Bolt back to the clothing dept. :rotfl:

Good morning everyone, a wet one up north!

Stopped at 2 A's yesterday, and not a single womble of 8 items or more! :(

Really must push myself to go and whoopsie at T's this evening, whatever the weather.

Welcome to the new prople posting.

Have a very good day one and all

Morning a bit later than normal-

Struggling with a family full of illness- even spent my price poopie and gift card on medicine yesterday :(- end of term whammies?
Had a thought... you know all the prices showing as super cheap for comparisons on MSM? Are they real?? I went looking in my T's for some of the things and they are all surprisingly not on the shelf - and no SEL in place....

but I did get more passata at 29p (better than tinned tom prices!) and some turkey foil for 37p
Off to run a session for some school kids today :)

    Happy belated birthday MrsMoneypenny!
    I'll do better keeping up ... :A

FK and Magicowen - how did your evening out go ?

I see FK has answered too, it was great to meet a fellow MSE'r :) and one that was so helpful as well. And to hear all his stories!

He also needs to start giving lessons! I was scared enough when I picked up my 4 mags from that store the other day (that was all that was left!) Fortunately they must have had more in - in strolls FK... fills a bag full and off he wanders! :D

Then he showed me how to womble in Mr A's, two have come back as cheaper at A's, the big one I am waiting on still as their's maintenance on the site apparently...fingers crossed!

And yes, thank you FK, I now have enough vouchers! :D
I was gutted when I got home as the OH was in bed so I had no one to show off my (donated) haul to! :(

Well Good Morning to everyone and hope you all have a good day!
    Off to finish catching up....
  • still no price flops or mags at Ev5ham last night! Am I the only one??
