Take back as much of the bottle as is safe to transport and make sure you take the neck of the bottle with the cap/seal still clearly intact

They wouldn't do this if the seal around the cap was broken because it would look like you have opened the bottle, drank the contents and THEN dropped it on the floor but if the seal is still intact you should manage just fine

What chandlerscroft is trying to say is that you may be able to get the money back for the wine. For this to happen the seal would need to be intact on the broken bottle after it fell off the counter:)

I popped out briefly and on the way home I grabbed half a dozen receipts from asda. One just gave me an APG of £11.94

Off for a cold shower now to calm down!
