I'm fine - apart from the fact that I am having MAJOR problems with AOL and ongoing trouble with my main desktop, my backup desktop and my perishing laptop! My connection speed is up and down like a Tarts knickers - varies from 0.05 to 1.6 megs and has totally messed up some downloads. AOL reckon there is a problem with my line and are sending their engineers round - but not until 28 July. Not knowing if my connection is going to work at any given time is almost worse than not having a connection at all!

I'll let you know if I find any mags etc.

PS I also forgot to add that DH caught the door of my new car on the gatepost last week - £499 to sort the darn thing out and can't go through the insurance cos I'm currently renewing cover with a different company and can't risk the premium hike! So perhaps I'm not as 'fine' as I thought I was.

Went to H0v3 S's this afternoon. They had the mags at the tills but no lager or shandy on the shelf or out back.
Off to catch up now. Was thinking of going to watch the Olympic torch pass through the next town but cba to go out again in this weather.

I was told today that a memo had gone round all the stores saying that jtds over £10 were fake, when I tried to spend a £11 one. I had the receipt (was for 3x John Frieda) and explained the difference in price. They let it through, but I was concerned that they have been told to think that the older ones are fake. That's not true! I've got some valid until 31st July so I hope this won't cause a problem in the future.

If anyone ever sees anything like this they need to ring Social Care Direct as children's lives are clearly at risk. Pass on all relevant information and the family concerned will receive a phone call. It may prevent something tragic happening. These little ones are so vulnerable ......:(
