T-mobile not working here either (sigh!). The irony is that my contract is due for renewal and they have been calling almost daily for the last 2 weeks

I'm on virgin, which I think uses t-mobile for their mobile internet. I can use the internet ok both phone and laptop but I don't know if the phone and text part is working. Most people i know are on virgin too so I can't text them and get them to check!
