No swab. But have had a change of consultant and they wanted to be on the safe side and have written all over my notes that I'm to get antibiotics in labour.
This is because my daughter had it about 1 - 2 weeks post birth
That's the same as in my area then. No routine swabs but if you've had a previous baby affected by Strep B then you'd automatically get IV antibiotics in labour. The baby would also be observed closely for signs of infection after birthThe consultant / doctors I saw has written it on my notes in a couple of places. One of which is at the 38 week section. Next step is to have a quick word with the midwives so that they know what has happened too.
Its worth me kicking up a fuss and making sure that its done and that the relevant people all know about it. The other version of events are scary.
If the Consultant has documented it in your notes then there shouldn't be an issue with you getting them. It would definitely be worth mentioning on the phone if you ring up in early labour or if your waters break though. They are less likely to want you to hang on a home as antibiotics need to be in for a while to go through placenta to baby and give protection at birth x♥ Worrying does not empty tomorrow of it's troubles.... it empties today of it's strength ♥0 -

keep an eye on sels as this is a mis price. it says 3 for £2 should say 3for2 so a dtd of £15.40

great find!
i'm thinking the till will be programmed to put it through as 3for2 though...so you'll pay £7.70 for 3 packs....so overcharged £5.70 = DTD of £11.40
still a fab find if it works... will be keeping my eyes peeledhoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -

I am looking for a waterproof jacket but anything I saw today was either the wrong brand, didn't have a hood or just didn't sit right when I tried it on
Does anyone know of anywhere that does superdry jackets for less than £60?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards.
