thanks
Butlins called, a week before the hol, and offered me a deal on passes (not sure if this is standard) so if you do not get a call nearer the time, may be worth you calling, if you are interested.
£10 a pass - got the Leisure one and had four activities -
(two eldest grandchildren with me)
Cinema
American pool
Adventure golf
Ten pin bowling
So saved a few more quid buying passes in advance.
there is also a Action pass and Adenaline pass.
Thanks for that. Hopefully they will call.
I did notice in the small print that you had to pay extra for passes, bed linen and service charge. Still a good price though so well chuffed. :jN1LDA0 -
night all.

will check in tomorrow night.:)grocery challenge 9.86/600 -

Yes, definately lots cheaper getting deal through the paper :)Entertainment pass is the standard one that everyone who wants to use pool and see shows need to get. The ones I mentioned are additional passes. For instance if you wanted to do extra activities such as go to the cinema you would pay £6.00 adult and I think it was £5.00 or £4.00 for a child. Bowling was £5.00 adult/£4.00 child and adventure golf £2.50. Forgotten how much American pool was. Funfair is free- including dodgems.

Thank you, I hadn't noticed it had changed.RootedNomad wrote: »I realise this is the popular view but it makes me feel uncomfortable. I'm all for glitches running for as long as possible and being kept from the eyes of T, A, etc, hence a degree of "hiding", but I think anyone who finds their way into this thread and asks for assistance in saving money should be helped. Many "regulars" skip or don't read back, ask for help and are given it quickly and without judgement. Can we please extend the same courtesy to newbies or less regular posters? (I realise that many posters do this already). We are all here for the same reason
I agree with helping all, regulars and non regulars. It did get a bit tiring though with DTD, when hundreds of people were popping onto the thread, asking for how/what, towards the end. Hopefully people will at least try to search the thread for the info, with the search thread field, after all, that isn't hard to do, before they ask.
I spoke to my neighbour (rich guy, own business) through the wall about hopping on his wi-fi for a bit and all sorts of things happened at once.
He told me he and his lovely OH had been thinking of offering some help for a while, but knew i was a proud guy (true ) and maybe would see any offer of help as charity (false).
Anyway, first we set me up on his wireless net = happy kids, and ...
he offered me a job, working for him. I've done his accounts and a lot of his admin/computer stuff many times in the past when he's been very busy and because he's managed to expand the business was looking for someone full time to manage the admin side. His wife currently does it part-time (young family) and can't really cope with it full-time so he's offered the job to me. Money's not what I was on, but is better than benefits and at my age I'm not complaining.
I start today, so wish me luck.
What lovely news Cerian, both for the internet piggybacking, and the job~do hope your first day has gone very well. Pleased that both will help your family. The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -

I think I am missing something here. Can you enter your Asda receipt now on the same day? I know it did happen for a short while before reverting back to 6 the next morning but didnt realise it still worked. Now I have to go and have a look at the APG rules and regs again ...
