Without going into to much information I got suckered into a relationship where I got into a lot of debt in my name about 20k on credit cards on my name but spent on her and her children. I know I have no chance of ever getting any payments towards the credit card debts as they are in my name and I am paying those of. But I have also a rent arreas debt that I am paying for her name was on the tenacy agreement I wondered if there is anything I can do to chase her for payment of at least half of the debt.

If her name only was on the rental agreement, stop paying off any of the debt for that account and let the LL chase her for the money. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
