Hello there,
So basically the story goes, i owe my overdraft to Lloyds TSB. I havent paid any money to it since october 2011. Not a very long time. They have passed it on to Robinson Way. i moved address just after October and i recieved a letter saying 'for the purpose of validation, we believe that you used to live at the address noted above. if you are not that person or you have any queries or concerns please contact us. if you are the person above you may also like to use the number to contact us. yours faithfully correspondance manager.
i just completly forgot i owed this debt as ive just had a baby and had a really rough 9 months (loads of hospital time) i am wlling to pay it back and my overdraft was for £200 so i cant see it being over £500 with charges etc. so its not alot. i want to do a payment plan with them about 50 a month with maybe a £100 upfrint cost. . but ive heard so many horror storys and would like some advice on how to go about this.
shall i just go into my branch and explain and hopefully they will recall the debt from them? i dont want robinsons knocking at my door. i also didnt stupidally tell my partner about this debt and dont want him finding out.
please please help me!!!!!!

Hey just a quick reply for you, I have had dealings with Robinson Way for an old Lloyds Tsb loan, they were actually really easy to deal with, I had left it a long time before facing up to it.
And as it stands they have now passed the account back to Lloyds and we are in the process of setting up a payment plan once I have an up to date statement of account.
Give them a call, ask them to send you an up to date statement and go from there.
Try and get everything in writing as well.
Hope this helps

well yesterday i called up lloyds and failed secruity when they passed me through to the recovery department. they told me to go into branch and call them from there.
so did you ask lloyds to set up a payment plan or robinson way? how did you go about this?
thankyou for responding

I initially asked Robinson Way for an up to date account, which they sent through, they also sent me a letter saying that would be willing to accept a reduced payment. I owed £680 and they offered to close the account for £500.
The next letter I got was informing me that my account had now been passed back to Lloyds, so I have called the number on the letter and asked them for a copy of my original agreement and an up to date statement.
They were happy to keep the account on hold with a view to making a payment plan once I have the documents.
(My story is slightly different as I am looking into reclaiming PPI on this loan as well).
Do you have any details of the account? Try calling Robinson Way as currently the account is with them, and quoting the reference on their letter, they should have the details you need, and you can go from there

i dont have a reference on the letter, its just a confirm who you are letter. did they harras you with phone calls? ive heard if you call them they have your number... ?
i have my sort code and a/c number. thats about it really. but i do know they passed it onto 2 other companys before recalling it. im new to all this and im a blooming idiot. hopefuly my credit is fixable only being 20 years old0 -
My advise to tackle it head on, call them and give them your up to date details, unfortunately you cant run from them forever, believe me I tried.
I have not found them too bad, they have been very reasonable with me and don't call me at all. I only ever get letters from them.
This is not the same for some companies however, I have had ones that called me 10 times a day
Not good.
If you act now your credit will recover, but like I say act now, don't leave any longer. You will feel so much better once its in the process of getting sorted.

yes definatly. i want to rebuild my credit history and tackle all my debts whilst i can as there may come a time in the future where i cant and then i have that worry. i think what i will do is go to lloyds branch on saturday and speak to them and call RW from there and see what arrangment we can come up with. im just a bit of a pushover and dont want to say ill pay £50 a month and then they get me up to £70 somehhow haha. x0
