Keeping linen looking like new

I have bought a lovely 100% linen top to wear through this summer. I have worn it many times and now really have to wash it. It has some sort of finish in it which keeps it from crumpling too badly, and makes it look just a bit shiny - nice. I could have it cleaned which I think would keep that finish but that's far too expensive. Does anyone know of anything I could do to it when I wash it which would keep it looking like new since otherwise I know that when washed it will go floppy and crumple very badly. HELP !
