Got a card through the door the other day from a company called Owl based in Motherwell, Scotland.
Appears they are chasing me for my non payment of a Lloydstsb Loan which I owe £17k basically Ive not paid them for best part of two years and havent spoke with them either.
Anyone had experience of this company?
There calling card suggest court action and I will be liable for costs is this a scare tactic or real?

Its probably a standard card they use that always mentions the possibility of court action. Most debt collectors do in their correspondance.
But particularly for a £17k debt then I would imagine there is a real chance of court action being taken.
I wouldn't phone the debt collector.
But usually the best way to try to avoid court action is to keep in touch with your creditor (or debt collector) and to pay what you can afford - even if it isn't the contracted payments.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
