GMAC Rfc, PPI and Charges???? Help

Hiya,

Was just wondering if its possible to reclaim the PPI on my Mortgage from GMAC rfc as I understand they no longer offer mortgages to the UK????

We were told we couldnt have the mortgage unless we took out their own Insurance????

Whats the process for starting my claim, would it be the same as the Credit Cards and loans?

They were also fined ion 2009 by the FSA for misselling products etc, again is this something else I could look at? Mortgage was started from 28th May 2007. Was then sold on to another company.

Please help?

    Yep

No you werent, as GMAC didnt sell their mortgages as they were sold through brokers. Also if you were told that, you need to provide proof. Also in 2007, insurance was clearly marked as optional.

GMAC didnt sell any products so they wouldnt have had such fines.
Where did you hear that, according to the FSA they were fined for treating customers in arrears unfairly.

Mortgage was started from 28th May 2007. Was then sold on to another company.
They often did sell them on. Its in the T&C they can.
