Irresponsible Lending?

I'm not judging - as per my post - I tried to consolidate twice before I sat down & worked out why my debts kept occurring.
I'm only offering advice that until this is done, it's really hard to make progress.
If you've now addressed the reasons for the debts, then the DMP will work fine and you'll be able to live within the budget set.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Rising above the ashes is right. I bet most of us, in one way or another have tried the consolidation route with disasterous consequences.
It was only when I realised that it was me who was responsible, and only me who could change things that I accepted the tough times ahead on a DMP. I also had massive support from my OH which helped immensley.
Have a look at why your spending so much, what it is that got you into this situation. It helps when your digging yourself out.
Don't take any of these posts as judgement, everybody is just trying to help you in the best way they know.

We can all make mistakes. What is causing the negative reaction is that you want to play the irresponsible borrowing card and blame the bank.nfollows1982 wrote: »I know exactly why I am in this position and this is why I have taken the steps I have to go into a DMP.
This is the first time I have posted on here where I feel I am being judged in a negative way
While the banks are far from pure in all of this, you need to accept that you will only get yourself financially straight if you take control of and responsibility for your own finances - and you accept that you cannot delegate responsibility to the bank.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
