Looking to buy a 32gb 3rd gen but worried about warranty etc if it brakes

The warranty is the same as a new iPad. The information is clearly set out on the page so I'm not sure how you missed it.

Also worried as it says it might have cosmetic damage aka scratches etc

Any of these happened to you

Apple's website clearly states that all refurbished iPads come with a new outer shell so you really only have the screen to worry about but as you have a period of 14 days in which to return the product if you're unhappy with it, I can't see how it would be a problem at all.

I don't wish to be rude but did you bother to read the website at all?

The website may say that, but it also says they can have scratches, which is what the poster was worried about.

Mine arrived yesterday, and there is a scratch on the back. I have ordered another, to see if it's any better. If not, I'll still keep one, because it's £110 cheaper than the new equivalent.... and hope my husband doesn't notice ;)
  • I recieved the ipad2 16gb, a christmas present for my son, and now i'm really worried that it may not have enough memory, would I have been better waiting and hoping for the 32 gb.

Would love some advice, he doesn't download films or much music, he's 18 years old, if that helps.

Please help before it's too late.
    Thanks in advance
  • I had the 16gb iPad and could fit lots of apps, music and pictures. There was not really enough memory to have more than 1 film, but that wasn't a problem to me. My 18 year old also has a 16gb iPad and he is really happy with it. Hope that helps

    Thank you for your help

Was awake early, just managed to get a 32 gb one, came on here to let all you lovely people know then read your msg.
Seriously thinking of cancelling , considering they are both the same age and your son is happy with his.
I do wish that I would stick to my guns though, waasn't supposed to be getting him any major items but there you go,I will never be rich as long as I come on grabbit.

  • Hi, if you have ordered the 32gb, I would stick with that now as your son will have lots more memory for bigger apps and he can put stacks of songs/albums on!

    Thanks for that,
I just needed a shove in the right direction, I've phoned them up and they are arranging delivery.
Just hope they are pretty quick at delivery and refunding.

I received my second ipad today (as I wrote above, the first arrived with a scratch, so I took a chance and ordered another). Today's one looks perfect - I can't find any scratches at all. I have set up a return for the first one.
