I'd definitely be looking at cutting back the groceries. We budget the same as you but there are 5 of us to feed in total.
Not teaching to suck eggs but plan your meals and shop for that rather than just chucking in what you fancy.

With regards to your entertainment, I allow myself my 'payday tenner' out of my budget but that is it, and I have stopped smoking and stopped drinking to make as many cut backs as you can.

I would defintely consider the bankruptcy option as you have no assets to lose.

I agree we can do with less if we have to. It's inspiring and reassuring to see how many people on here are doing it. When you say payday tenner, is that every month? That's quite something!

And I will talk to an adviser about the relative merits of bankruptcy, DRO, etc.

Thanks all for your thoughts, keep them coming :)

Once my DMP is sorted out that may be more flexible as we are going to be able to have a life but the way things have been I literally have £10 on payday to spend on myself (which was usually mcdonalds and 20 fags!) but that's all I've had to myself!!

    Hi

Just to comment about the groceries, I was the same as you spent about £80 a week on food for 2 adults and 2 dogs, now because I have to budget I spend about £45 sometimes a little over or a little under. Its amazing what you can do by shopping about and write a list before you go, saves a fortune!

    Good luck x
