What is debt free?

I personally would say student loans and mortgages don't count.
I would count any loans, credit cards (unless you pay them off in full every month) and money borrowed from friends or family.
Being able to live month to month without borrowing money to live and then looking towards being able to save for things you want/need rather than borrowing for them, is what i would deem the ultimate goal and being debt free.0 -
Same here...just under £600 left to be paid off by end September. I don't include my mortgage as a debt either and come September I am going to start overpaying that (at least that is the intention...;))It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey
