Help with old 3G debt :(

Hi everyone
I received a letter from scotcall regarding an old 3g debt from 2007. I had a phne from 3 back then and could not use the phone in my house as I could never get a signal. First the phone was sent for repair which didnt help so I told 3 I wanted to cancel. And as far as I was aware this is what happened but years later I am faced with a bill of nearly £500!!!!!
I emailed the company scotcall stating I knew nothing of this debt and this it what they replied
