I know recently there was a thread about dieting on a budget.
I'm hoping this is the right board for this.
I'm on a diet and struggling under my own windpower, money doesnt help. Was wondering if other ladies on here are watching what they eat or dieting?
Thought it would be nice if we could get together on one thread and give each other moral support.
Things like recipies and for those of us brave enough posting up a weight or how much weve lost.
I'm gutted after dieting for 2 weeks I fell off wagon this weekend and we had dominos on bogof delivered.I did have vegetable with low fat cheese though.
Weighed at boots when I started.Last week scales were broken so couldnt.Today bought some value scales for £1.49 at Mr.Ts to my horror they say i'm half a stone more!
Ive been having brown rice and pasta. Not mixing carbs with protein so been having meat with salad/veg and pasta with tomatoe sauce and veg etc
Anyone want to join me for inspiration and moral support?
My jeans do feel less tight i can fit in ones I tumbled but its time of month as well.I'm wondering if I have gained weight from eating better? My appetite has gone through roof :-(

I definitely could do with a mutual support partner.
I did weight watchers up until Christmas and was doing really well on it and lost a stone. Since Christmas I have found it increasingly difficult to get motivated again.
The way I used to do so well on it though is by buying a lot of weight watchers ready made things, meals, desserts, crisps, sweets, biscuits, etc. Now that I have had my lightbulb moment about debts and how much money I must have wasted over years gone by, I couldn't possibly warrant spending the money on the ready made, ready pointed meals.
I woke up today and decided that I really want to be able to wear nice skirts and shorts this summer so the diet is back on. I will try to follow the diet from home as £4.95 at a weight watchers meeting is a no go. I am going to try and walk at least once a day, even if it means walking to the shop instead of using the car.
Look forward to being inspired!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 607 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T
One day maybe I will be debt free0 -
Tescos used to sell 5 frozen ready meals low cal versions next to regular one for £4 for 5.I dont know if this offer is still on but if it is would be a cheaper alternative to weightwatchers ones and is easy to pop in micro when familly have their tea.I'm finding if I try to alter whatever they are eating by adding more veg I tend to eat loads more than I would a ready meal. Those I used to bulk out with greens or lettuce.Possibly easy way of counting cals and portion control.think these may serve me well.
I'm finding the low fat hot drinks far too yummy so have to stop those.
Yup first year ive not worn a skirt dont want to be a fatty on my hols.Lost my confidence.Changed my hair colour back from blonde to brown so thats not helped either.0 -
Oo. Can I join in? Currently 10lb 6lb. Want to lose about 1 to 1 1/2 st which will be seriously money saving as I can then fit back into my hardly worn size 10's. All my size 12's are about to pop thier seams which could lead to a very embarrasing day at work.I am going to try and walk at least once a day, even if it means walking to the shop instead of using the car.
I've talked my boss into letting me have a longer lunch break (That I will make up at the end of the day) So that I can walk into town everyday instead of driving.
So here are my other rules
1) Drink at least 2 litres of water/squash/herbal tea a day. I've read that in the western world our thirst response is so weak that we can mistake it for hunger. Even if it's not true, I've my stomach is full of liquid there has to be less room for food.
2) Have breakfast
3) Make sure I've had 5 fruit and veg a day. (By the time I've done this I generally stop craving rubbish)
4) Don't eat after 6pm
I've tried these rules before and they have worked really well, but I have troubel keeping it up. Mainly due to laziness. I hate getting up and hence don't have time for breakfast. After a long day at work I don't feel like cooking, and son't often get home in time to be able to cook and eat by 6pm.
Here's hoping we can inspire each other to success0 -

Hi everyone,
As others have said there's a great support thread for anyone trying to lose weight on the I wanna board: Lose Weight 10
So I'm going to close this one and ask anyone wanting support while dieting to join that one instead. Good luck to anyone trying to lose weight.
