Banking Question...

Morning all...
I have a question about a transaction I made on my bank card (debit card), and I've just spoken to the bank and they've told me not to worry (except they obviously don't know me because that's what I do best).
On Monday I bought the tickets for my hen do - the total was £410. I rang up and paid the box office over the phone using my debit card. They told me it was all authorised and emailed me the tickets. I checked my bank same day, and the transaction was there, money gone. When I checked yesterday - same.
I've just checked my account this morning and the transaction has disappeared altogether and the money is back in my account. I've rang the bank to ask what's happened and was told that 'they are not responsible for my card', and that it's 'very normal for a company to take money, put it back and then take it again at a later date'.
I'm not convinced, but maybe that's just because it hasn't happened to me.
Should I wait, or should I contact the ticket office and ask them?
In case it sounds odd, I'm not trying to get myself a freebie - I just want to make sure the money is used to pay for the tickets sooner rather than later, and that there hasn't been a mistake somewhere along the line.

This happens regularly and the company will take the money.

I think they pre-authorise the transaction and the funds will be removed from your available balance and then released again.

They will sometime in the next 7 days complete the transaction in full and take the money that is in your account

    Agreed. No need to panic.
