If the debts defaulted then they will have dropped off your credit report once they reached six years old. This should be automatic. An updated copy of your credit report will show you where things stand now.

    Hi James

Do you think the 6 years will have started again from the date I tried to setup the IVA? i.e. around 2009/2010

Or do you think they will drop off after the original default date back in 2005/2006?

Luke if you never contacted your creditors in 2009ish and didn't complete the paperwork for Payplan then they won't have contacted them either.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Hi, thanks, they did contact them and all the letters stopped. They got it all sorted but at the last minute I didnt sign the final paperwork. They had a creditors meeting and everything.

Maybe best to sign up for Experian and have a proper look at the dates.

Although also maybe because I didn't finalise it all properly (the IVA), then it won't show up on the credit report as an extra 6 years from 2009, i.e. will have dropped off by now.
