Personal Loan Insurance - Reclaim Charge

I have just put in a claim for my bank charges with HSBC (still ongoing) but I am wondering if I would be able to make a claim for the Payment PRotection Insurance that they sold me back in 2003/2004 for a Personal Loan I took out when I was self employed? I note now that the insurance if you were self employed was invalid, therefore I believe I was mis-sold it.

How would I go about this please? Any advice? I have not got the loan paperwork now back to then as the loan has since been paid off, but I specifically remember being peed off then but thought I could do nothing about it!
