in the past i have found it a bit hit and miss wether the cashier will accept the national book token voucher, but today i was looking through the tesco mag, near the back page were some book reveiws etc and they were advertising the fact that they take book tokens, anyway my book token was refused today in my local tesco, so i phoned the main tesco customer service, and explained what had happened, she took my phone number and said she would phone me back, she called back 10 minutes later to say she had spoken to the store manager and the checkout captain, and from now on they must accept the book tokens, she said they were also informing all checkout staff in the store to accept them, and if i was refused again, then i was to tell them thay must contact customer services, so anyone else out there that this has happened to contact tesco customer services and they will inform the store that they should be accepting them, i have the main tesco number if anyone needs it, wasnt sure if i could post the number on here
dont wait for your boat to come in, get in a dingy and row out to it!!!

That's very interesting to hear! :T
I have found Tesco very hit and miss in the past with Book Tokens too  the nice young Boys usually take them, but the Dragons always say no to them.
I was a bit confused myself about wether or not they are supposed to take Book Tokens, but a few weeks ago my DS got a £1 Book Token from Nursery (to Celebrate National Book Week) and whilst in Tesco I saw a display with £1 Books on saying they were free with your Childs £1 Book Week Token. (I used my sons £1 book token on a book for him - not money off my usual shopping, lol)

DD2 came home with hers today, whereas dd1 had hers a few weeks ago! Thanks for the reminder"I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0

I was turned down a few times with the Daily mail book tokens on these grounds so that is reallty interesting. Admittedly i wasn't buying the book but with Tesco that shouldn't be necessary:o0

I have used around 25 of these vouchers in the last few weeks, admittedly one seemed to be on elastic and was always returned to me, but mostly I was lucky and they were accepted
