GE Money Home Lending - help please

I've been trying to sort out my finances for a number of months now, getting my mortgage arrears on track & other non priority ones on minimal amounts with the light starting to appear etc, etc.
However I have a 2nd mortgage with GE Money, balance of about 25k, 3.5k of arrears & 4.5k of charges.
I've done an income/expenditure with my CAB & it looks like I can afford to make may usual payment + about £100 pm to clear the arrears.
Its been tight for the past 5 months as I cleared off an attachment of earnings for my council tax, but this is now done.
We've got no savings, so a lump sum is out of the question.
The main problem is 12 months ago, GE money put a suspended possesion order on me & have now decided to go for possession, I've been in touch with GE to try & get back on track, however they are being insistant & looking for the full amount of arrears & fees before they cancel the eviction order.
I've got 3 kids & a wife, about 100k in equity, so losing my home is something I'm not going to take lightly.
The eviction date is about 10 days away so any help will be gratefully received.
I suppose I can get a hearing before a judge, but ideally I'd like to try all avenues first.
Regards,
Stephen.

As an afterthough or action, the fees are so high cause they keep charging me £40 per letter each month for not having an arrangment in place !
Can I get these back as unfair charges ??Managing my own debts & it's slowly looking better by the month. :T0 -

Hi
From what you have put it very much looks like your avenues and time are / is very limited as you are at the end of the line with eviction imminent if you do not act fast.
If you cannot get an agreement with GE Money then you must apply for a court hearing using the correct court form (N244 I believe). You will then be given a court hearing before your actual eviction time and this will give you chance to put your proposals and circumstances / reasons in front of a Distrct Judge who will ultimately make the decisions.
If you do manage to get an agreement, get it in writing, check with GE as to whether they are still wanting you to apply for a hearing and with the court as to whether GE have contacted the court and officially postponed / stopped the eviction.
Never, ever take anything for granted in this type of situation with regard to the verbal word of a lender / solicitor always request things in writing and check with the actual court & bailiffs as to anything you are told by your lender as to whether any eviction has been officially postponed / stopped.
It might help to have a look through this useful CAB mortgage arrears / possession / eviction guide

Just out of interest, what did the CAB advise?
Have you spoken with your Local Authority Housing / Homelessness section?
PS - You must take this post as a guide only due to the short timescale you have and the limited information you have supplied and not knowing where you live, with this in mind I strongly urge you get immediate advice & assistance from an housing specialist to be sure as you may have a number of options (couple of links below that might help)
