Credit File Question

Hi all (old and new)
I am back again after a lengthy period of time away with another question.
I am now 6 years post bankruptcy and finally my credit reference files are starting to clean up..... well one of them is!
I've checked Experian and this CRF is completely clean and up to date holding no information about me except linked addresses - when I checked this with experian asking if they can remove them they told me that linked addresses remain on CRF for 8 years before auto being removed!
So, I then checked Equifax. This is where my queries lie. My Bankruptcy is cleared off the file completely. However there are a couple of debtors still remaining. I notified them last night that the default/end dates these creditors have within each specific debt field is incorrect and I also made note to them my date of bankruptcy and bankruptcy order number. After providing Equifax with all the necessary details I asked them if these remaining debtors could be removed from my CRF.
Today, I have recieved emails from each query I raised advising I need to contact said debtors myself and ask them to update their records accordingly and provide a copy of my bankruptcy order.
Even though this has miffed me slightly I understand its my responsibility to sort this - queries I have previously raised with Experian they done it for me. My question is - why have these two seperate Cedit Reference Agencies got different details? Surely they should have been informed the same details from the debtors?
Can anyone shed some light on this if possible please?
Sorry for the ramble, just trying to give as much info as possible!

If you query an entry on your credit report in writing with a CRA it should mark the entry as disputed while it verifies your comments with the provider. There's no obvious reason why an account registered with more than one CRA should appear differently.

Interested in the term 'linked addresses' - what are they? Does this mean your addresses are on a CRA file? I don't think mine are on Noddle? (The only one I've looked at to date)
Also the comment of the linked addresses being removed after so many years, is that normal and how does this work?
Sorry, don't mean to hijack the thread just interested in what this means."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0 -

incompetence from equifax is the most obvious0 -
Thanks for the replies.
James Jones - My Experian report is completely clear and any communication I have had with them has been prompt and sorted without hassle.
Nottoolate - I totally agree with you there!
Laurah159 - I'm still non the wiser but I've since wrote to the creditor in question using the template in the stickys informing them they need to change the details! So have to wait 28 days for them to respond now i guess.
Pippagirl - When I spoke with Experian about the linked addresses that was what I was told and what they are is anywhere you have lived and used that address to gain credit it is recorded on your file. If you've lived at other addresses and not gained credit then these would not show. That is what I was told anyway! If I am wrong maybe James Jones can correct me?
