Possibly, but would give Santander a wide berth..

It is still a bit of a mystery, would try not to solve this yourself but put the credit reports under the nose of someone qualified.

If I flippantly threw around lender names that may be worthwhile looking at it would not be fair to you as do not have enough detailed information..

Santander genuinely are amongst the most selective currently..

    Good luck

Any lender that refuses an application should be able to tell your the principle reason, although you may need to ask. If they say 'credit scoring' then there is unlikely to be any single issue at fault, just the overall picture your data paints compared to that lender's ideal customer.

If you have moved address in the last year then it is likely that any credit score calculated for you will be a little lower than before you moved. In simple terms, moving home means you're more likely to miss credit payments. It's a stability thing, but will be resolved by you staying put for a while.

You should also check that any card balances are below 50% of the credit limits. High balance to limit ratios can also hurt your score.
