Past Due Credit/BT - what next?

Hi all. You've heard it all before - a 4-year-old debt BT have farmed out to Past Due, which I've only just heard about... anyway, long story short:
It's broadband charges & the period concerned is Dec 07 to Sept 08. I didn't move into the property concerned until June 08 and have a letter from the council supporting this. I've since had a "reduced settlement offer" from Past Due bringing the debt from £125 to about £90, which I have formally rejected by letter. I've had a phone call today asking for the money one more time before the refer it back to BT who will go to court etc.
Now, I was not in that property at the time they're trying to charge me for, but I did have a BT service at my previous address, which might be where the Dec 07 is actually from. It's nearly 5 years ago and I have no idea what I did & didn't pay back then. However, there's been no mention of the previous property during any calls or correspondence.
What do you reckon? Will BT go to court for £125 on this basis? I think given the reduced settlement offer & the fact they seem to have their facts wrong, I'll be OK

how could they of had you name in 2007 then?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I was with BT in 2007 at the address previous to the one I moved to in 2008. I'm guessing this debt might relate to the last few months I was at the 2007 place. But BT have told me the whole debt relates to the 2008 place even though I wasn't there for the periods claimed.
My point is I may owe the money - I'm not sure - but the facts BT have given me to back up their case are wrong and I have a letter from the council proving they're wrong0 -
You need to ask for a copy billDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I asked them for a breakdown of what it was and they came back an email explaining what they think the correct dates are. If I ask them for a copy bill & they can't provide it they have no case, right?0

Update - BT are supposed to be sending a copy bill out today but apparently it won't quote the exact amount as it's a final bill & I've made payment since the disputed charged was levied! Also they are being very cagey about it relating specifically to that property...0
