South London - reputable gold buying shops/pawnbrokers?

Hi, I have a few peices of gold jewellery that I want to sell. I would rather do it in a shop than via post. I will be in London during uly/August & figured there is a better choice there? Any suggestions for a shop that won't rip me off, or how to choose one? Anyway in London will do but South London is prefered esp Streatham or Croydon areas.

A friend of mine just sold something at a very good price in a pawn shop in Lewisham, just opposite Marks and Spencer, next to the Western Union shop. Sorry no more info and she is now abroad so I cannot ask her the address, but she was very pleased with both service and price obtained. She had been previously to a lot of shops in Hatton Gardens and found that some of them were really not very nice, then tried this shop on advice of someone else and was very happy. HTH
