Zurich Endowment and Timebarring

After reading on here I decided to dig out my details on my endowment.
They had not updted their records with my new address so I called them stating I had moved and sent them a letter - but they were still sending post to my old address (they amended) I also informed them that it was still in my maiden name and they said I had to send my marriage cert recorded delivery, which I did and they sent back.

So now all recrods are upto date I called to make a complaint.

They said I was over the time to claim as a red letter had gone out.

My payments are GB£70.00 per month to pay GB£47500 (approx)
started in 1998. The planned growth was 9.25%
At current predictions I will have a shortfall of GB£13000!!

So my complaint was - I was nieve it was my forst mortagaeg, I dont recall being given other options, that I wasnt aware that it was invested in the stock market and I was led to belive that it would over perform and I would have some left over.

They said even though Iw as out of time - they would still look into my claim.

Have I got any hope??

Probably Eagle Star who issued the policy originall. I am not an expert on claims although I did do one for a friend but if you had an independent adviser your claim should go to them.

The best option is to complain to the FSA and tell them the response is not satisfactory and they will deal with it.
