MEAF can anyone help

Hi can anyone tell me if you take a deal which has a penalty attached is there a MEAF charged each time you change we were with the northern rock and have had three deals all which had redemption penalties and now we have paid off our mortgage so i know there is at least one MEAF to make a claim on but not sure if there were past exit fees.cheers nomorec
